North Carolina Autocross Championships (2 day event)
« on: October 14, 2009, 06:53:51 PM »
Wasn't pretty, but I won my class (E-Street Prepared) @ North Carolina Autocross Championships in Greensboro. Heck, my tires were older than the Roush Mustang in my class!  ;D

No James Bond Agent 007 smoke-screen this time, which tells me the grip on asphalt wasn't quite as good as Little Creek's concrete. Still not bad surface and Saturday's course was really good.

Sunday, Jinx Jordan (National-level FSP driver) tried to replicate Nationals ProSolo course (right side) and it didn't translate as well and was very tight in some places.

I finished almost 3 seconds over 2nd place car (nice guy in 97 Camaro). Sunday was so tight, it's where I made up more time (ESP E12 turns much better than Fbody Camaro unless you spend a lot of money with Sam Strano http://www.stranoparts.com/), even though I didn't drive as well as I did on Saturday.
Video should be available in a few days.

Thanks for reading this.

How nice you are.
Great you did not make BBQ on the track  :)
The photo looks in great action. It tells a lot.
Well done Peter!
Look forward to your clips.

Fantastic victory for you and your great E12!
We proud of your nice performance so far and indeed try to replicate your E12 modifications.

Your stablizing and corner control are quite extreamly firm. I guess you upgrade the anti-swaybars in addition to the shock and springs modifications. Rear tires look awesome (should be around 255/45/17 with great track holding and sharp corner cutting.

We'll watch a clip and sheer you up for a next victory. Peter,

Thank you sir for the kind words.
I have 28.5 mm front and 22 mm rear sway bar. I may change rear sway bar back to stock to keep from lifting rear wheels. Possibly change rear springs from 300 lbs per inch to 350 lbs per inch.

Tires are Kumho V710 265-45-16
